banquet

so banquet is tomorrow night and today was spent running around trying to find everything for our dresses and outfits. i also had to get mine aproved :/ but thankfully it passed even though the straps weren't a whole two inches thick.

what is the point of banquets anyway? do we only have them becuase we used to have balls back in the day? "here go ahead! get all dressed up in expensive dresses that you'll probably never wear again for a couple hours and sit there and eat!" no actually i really like getting dressed it and everything, this year just seemed alot more complicated then it should be.

i do however find it extremely funny when there is a dance at one of these things. you've got the people who actually know how to dance, and they're pretty good, moving around the whole floor, showin off. then you have the poeple who kinda know what's going on, they'll move around a little bit, won't get too into things cause they know they don't actually have the moves. then you have the people who think they can dance and want to prove it to the world. you know who i'm talking about. those people who run into poeple and flail their arms and legs, and you can see it on their faces "that's right, you all wish you could move like me! look how cool i am!" when in reality everyone is just thinking, "wow, i'm glad they're not my date!"

unfortunetly, there will be no dancing at this banquet! but what can ya do.
